“Write an impressive first message to get her attention”

The one step many guys fail to take seriously is the first email sent to a woman online. It’s not that they don’t think it’s an important step towards meeting someone. They just don’t understand how difficult it is to get a woman to respond to their message. You aren’t going to be the only one sending a woman an email. If she’s even remotely attractive, she’ll get at least a dozen messages per day from other guys. So for you to get a response, it needs to stand out – in a positive way – by being more creative than the others. There are 4 parts to a successful first online dating email…
  • Subject line
  • Introduction
  • Body
  • Closing

The subject line needs to be written in a creative manner so she’s enticed to open up the email. The introduction should hook her into reading the message. The body needs to entertain her so that she’ll make it to the closing part – which is where you creatively ask her for a date or to chat. All 4 parts of the email must be perfected. They’re equally important. You won’t receive a response if you fail in ANY of these 4 parts.

Perfecting Each of the 4 Parts of a First Email

Subject Line: This is where you have to really get creative. It’s imperative to write something that catches her attention. She probably has an Inbox full of “30/m Boston” subject lines. Yours should be different. It should be catchy, non-perverted, and the use of exclamation points never hurt.

Introduction: This part is similar to the subject line because you need to catch her attention. Even if your subject line is great, you won’t get her to read the entire email if your introduction is horrible. Don’t introduce yourself like most guys do – by telling her your name, age, and location. Again, be original and creative. And try your best to humor her right off the bat (nothing offensive, though).

Body: The body of an email should not be very long. You’re not writing a thesis paper. A few sentences is plenty. Anything more will put her to sleep and anything less won’t be enough content to convince her you’re worth getting to know. The body should not be a space for you to brag about yourself. Talk about HER and what impressed you about her from her profile.

Closing: You need to wrap up the email with a question. The question should be to ask her to chat with you or to find out more about a certain interest. For example, let’s say she mentioned in her profile that she likes to gamble. Ask her what types of casino games she plays and if she’s any good at them. This is a great way to open up a conversation.
